Petite Friture is a French design company that was founded by Amélie du Passage in 2009. Petite Friture’s aim is to promote young talents and design together with them a collection of objects, lights and furniture that creates “vibration” and helps to savour the everyday life. The elegant and cheerful collection includes designs from creatives such as Pierre Favresse, Claesson Koivisto Rune, Daniel Emma, Sam Baron and Andreas Engesvik.

Presenting the Grid Daybed by Petite Friture: Redefining Versatility and Comfort
In 2015, the design studio Pool conceived the Grid Daybed for Petite Friture, in tribute to the Bauhaus style and the art of graphic design. By 2016, the Grid had evolved from a singular daybed into a fully modular system that can adapt to a multitude of spaces and preferences.
At the heart of the Grid collection are the basic modules: a simple armchair, a corner armchair, a stool, and a coffee table. These elements can be paired with the two-seater sofa to craft a multitude of configurations to suit your every desire. Be it a three-seater sofa, a corner sofa, or a loveseat, the Grid collection can be effortlessly transformed through a simple attachment system.
Each element within the Grid collection retains the identity of the original daybed. The design comprises a strapped wooden structure, supported by a black tubular steel leg, and topped with geometrically patterned square or round fabric or leather cushions.
The Grid Daybed, and by extension, the Grid collection, is designed for everyday life. Its modular design allows for an array of configurations, ensuring comfort and adaptability, whether in a small apartment or a large living room. This is a piece that pays homage to timeless Bauhaus design, while seamlessly fitting into the modern lifestyle.
