The design combines traditional handcraft nuances with the brilliance of crystal and a smooth matte-cut finish. The light source is set within a mouth-blown element made of lead-free crystal. Thanks to the manual blowing process, each piece is unique. Dark & Bright Star is available in two color options: the light version features clear glass with an opaque matte-cut finish, while the dark version is crafted from fully colored glass.
The chandelier is complemented by the technical pendant light Beam, available in brushed gold and anthracite finishes. Beam ensures that the Dark & Bright Star lighting composition perfectly illuminates the space beneath it, exactly where additional light is needed, expanding the functional possibilities of the installation.

DECHEM studio
DECHEM Studio, founded in Prague in 2012 by Michaela Tomiskova and Jakub Jandourek, is celebrated for its modern approach to glass design. The pair first connected at the Novy Bor School of Glass, united by their shared passion for one of humanity’s oldest materials. Michaela pursued further studies in product design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (AAAD) and gained experience with leading design studios, while Jakub deepened his expertise in the lighting industry, specializing in glass craftsmanship, technology, and manufacturing. Since founding DECHEM Studio, they have dedicated their work to product design, with a particular focus on glass. Their creations blend traditional glass-making techniques with contemporary design aesthetics, producing pieces that emphasize craftsmanship, materiality, and innovation. DECHEM Studio’s work is recognized for its elegance, combining the timeless appeal of glass with refined, modern forms.
